ReasonsHello there ^^
Woah I haven't been active on DA for such a long time!
I haven't forgotten about all of you though. I regularly check my inbox and watch list and look through all of the new artwork posted here. I just don't comment or update my page.
Why? Because.
Art used to be my passion, my life. Now its slipping away gradually from me for whatever reason. Its not that I don't have inspiration, because I have a handful. Nor is it because its time-consuming.
At first I thought I was going through an art block, a normal thing that occurs to everyone at least once. As the months passed I wondered what the hell was going on.
Nowadays I'm unable to pick up a pencil, grab a sheet of paper and let my imagination soar. I just can't no matter how much I try.
And it sorta hurts inside. It feels like a part of me is dying. A part that helped me cope when I felt down, or lifted my spirit when it enabled me to express my emotions of joy and content.
However, I'm letting it go with pride and without regrets. I'll cherish all of my artwork for years to come, embracing the good memories I have. If I ever start again, I'll be more than happy to continue the road of improvement and share with the world like I used to.
As for now, its like a fresh start, a new beginning. I just have to find a new way of escaping reality.
I'm not leaving DA, I'm staying. I just won't be updating. I added the last piece that I made, which was a while back. I put so much blood, sweat and tears into it but I'm still not satisfied. I know I could do ten times better, but alas I seem to lack the motivation.
Anyway, I guess I'll leave you now to your occupations.
